A sitcom I’d watch…

“Grandma and Me”

Pilot episode:

Scene opens on Kevin, sitting around in boxers, swiggin’ a half-empty beer he found under a pile of garbage, unpaid bills, and hookers.  Just then, his Mr. Roper-esque landlord comes pounding on the door.  ”If I don’t have that rent by Monday morning, you’re on your keaster!”  All other options exhausted, Kevin calls up his parents to see if they will lend him some scratch, but loses the nerve when he hears how stressed they are about Grandma: she’s fallen and broken another hip.  Mom tears up as she tells him they’re gonna have to finally put her in a home.  It’s gonna break their hearts, but she’s too old and senile to live alone, and they just don’t have the time with work and the kids to take her in and provide her with the constant care and attention she needs.  Mom sniffles as she describes the posh home they’re looking into:  only the best for Dear Old Mum; money is no object.

And that’s when Kev gets the idea of his life.

The theme song:

”It’s just grandma and me, and we’re doin’ the best we can.  She can’t control her pee, but says to watch my tone young man.  (bridge) But why does she keep caaaallllinnn me Steve?  It’s just grandma and meeeeee….

Though very close to my heart, this is an idea I’m willing to sell for primo dinero.  How ’bout it ABC?
